About this Site

Thanks for visiting the Max for Mayor web site. The pundits are predicting low voter turnout for the May 3rd election. We hope they are wrong. Austin is a special place, and we all need to speak out and elect the kind of folks who will treasure and preserve it. We appreciate your efforts to learn more about this race.

This web site, like the rest of the Max campaign, operates with unpaid, local volunteer efforts. No fancy big-city consultants were used in the manufacture of this product.

Our documents are compliant with the HTML 3.2 standard. We avoided using advanced or vendor-specific markups in ways that might cause problems with older HTML 2.0 browsers -- including non-graphical browsers. If you encounter any difficulty, please let us know so we can fix the problem.

Help spread the word about our little web site. Display our campaign button on your own web page. Please donate some moola to help get our message out -- but not too much. Max is running under a strict $100 contribution limit.

Do you know somebody who doesn't have Internet access but should see this page? Send them to the library! The Austin Free-Net project has placed two public access Internet terminals at every library branch. Suffering from technophobia? The Riverside library runs some great free introductory web classes many weekends. Contact them for schedule information or to reserve a seat.
